ChampionBuild was the main contractor on this distinctive, three-bedroom house in Highgate, north London. We worked closely with our architectural partners on this design-led build and were able to meet the specific needs of the owners. The property provides a selection of connected ‘lifestyle’ spaces over three floors, including an indoor swimming pool and recording studio.
Located on a tree-lined avenue, this 4,800sq ft development maintains the highest level of sustainability. Innovative construction methods and technologies were employed throughout and the use of Stora Enso cross-laminated timber allowed for a short and efficient build programme. With the superstructure built off-site, it was constructed in only six days and this significantly reduced the overall build-time.
Other sustainable features of note include the award-winning alternative to tropical hardwood and preservative treated wood – Kebony. Plus the provision of EcoDan air source heat pumps and a Bauder green roof.
The interior of the property is designed to an exceptionally high standard, with consideration given to the smallest details. To remain in keeping with the cool, contemporary styling of the house, ChampionBuild’s sister company, Lime Black, supplied the German handle-less kitchen and utility, as well as the bedroom and living room fitted furniture.
